Among all of the typical Aeolian traditional dishes, on this small island (the oldest, geologically, of the Aeolian islands) the “Pasta alle sarde” (pasta with sardines) is not to be missed. The “Piparelli” almond biscuits are among the best, with a glass of Malvasia at the end of a meal, and there are even those who recommend soaking them in the liqueur wine for a new taste experience. Stock up on biscuits and Malvasia, to repeat the ritual in your own home!
